LGCY Network: Roadmap Update
Building with agility to fulfil the mission of the LGCY project
LGCY Network are proud to release their updated Development Roadmap to keep our community and developers abreast of the latest milestones as the network progresses rapidly, ahead of schedule, toward launch.
Commencing in Q3 2020 with the Pre Sale for private investors, the project has since moved forward at pace laying the critical foundations to support a sustainable ecosystem.
2020 Key Highlights
- Following the successful Uniswap launch LGCY & USDL pairs were subsequently listed on Bilaxy.
- We launched our Pre Staking program in partnership with Ferrum, enabling our community to earn 56% APY from staking $LGCY with staking rewards paid in USDL.
- We extended Exchange options in Q4 through a Strategic Partnership with Biki Exchange, an upcoming innovative exchange based in Singapore.
- Biki CEO Ethan Ng is formally welcomed as a strategic consultant to the project to leverage the network in service of the project mission.
- We launched USDL, as a unique stablecoin offering, backed by the power of the blockchain.
- We entered into a strategic partnership with Travala.com enabling our community to use LGCY or USDL as a payment form for an amazing selection of travel options globally.
Most recently we launched our Community Trust Program which will mean that during Years 2 & 3 of the project, the team will permanently stake 33 Billion tokens, reducing the effective supply to just 21 Billion tokens (80% less than #Tron).
The Community Trust will ensure sustainable and ongoing revenue streams to support the governing bodies to continue building a thriving ecosystem and support on-boarding of new projects for many years to come.
The team have attended many AMA’s and events across a diverse mix of communities to help raise awareness of the project, and have been continuing to build content on the LGCY YouTube Channel, and further enhance with social media campaigns across numerous targeted social platforms and advertising channels.
We also launched our own TVC campaign which was developed to celebrate the launch of the project which has now been viewed almost 30,000 times on YouTube alone;
The Roadmap: Looking ahead
The development team has been hard at work building the network and as a result are well ahead of the original roadmap timelines.
LGCY Testnet is now much closer than anticipated, and will be ready to launch and begin on-boarding projects between Q1/2, 2021.
The launch of the Testnet targeting Q1 2021 will be a major milestone for the project as it is a critical enabler of on-boarding projects and dApps.
In Q1/2 2021, we will formally launch the dApps pledge program, which will allow qualified projects to receive incentives to migrate to LGCY Network. Beyond financial incentives, LGCY Network will also offer projects Strategic & Marketing support from its team of advisors and partners. This will include the launch of a dApp spotlight program of which details will follow in 2021.
As we deliver Mainnet in Q3/4 2021 the team will launch Myriadex and the LGCY Block Explorer which are already under development and progressing smoothly.
In line with the Community Trust program the Year 2 & 3 Community Trust funds will be staked to fund future ecosystem expansion in line with the commitments laid out in our recent Community Trust update.
This will put the project ahead of schedule to launch MainNet in the second half of 2021, and moving the project ever closer to its goal of building the most truly decentralised blockchain network in the world.
