Supernova MainNet Final Stage Testing

The LGCY Network team is pleased to bring our community an update on the final stage testing of the Supernova MainNet which our development team have been hard at work finalizing over the last few weeks.

In this update

  • Development Progress
  • Governing Bodies
  • Mainnet Deliverables

Development Update

As many of you will know, the is a critical juncture for any Layer-One Blockchain to ensure that the ongoing sustainability, scalability, and security of the network is of paramount importance to the long-term success of LGCY Network.

Testing is vital to ensure that any bugs or defects are identified at the outset, and ultimately avoid future consequences that could arise in terms of negative network performance.

Proper end to end testing ensures that the blockchain process is validated for functional testing, non-functional testing, performance assessments, security testing and integration testing. Additionally, we have been performing specialized testing including Smart Contract testing and Node Testing.

Smart Contracts Testing

For LGCY Network we are to complete block testing with 300,000 empty blocks. If we look at similar blockchain development, we can compare the block testing of the Tron Network which tested for 900,000 empty blocks.

These blocks will be produced in 3 million seconds which equates to roughly 800 hours. To complete the testing sequence requires roughly 34–35 days of testing and monitoring on the live network.

Last week we redeployed the chain after identifying some minor bugs that surfaced through our rigorous testing audits which the development team have since been working on around the clock to address.

Testing empty blocks

Following adjustments to the network the testing sequence has been recommenced and with another round of block testing which requires the 300,000-empty block of testing (34–35 days).

Governing Bodies (GB)

The GB committee is made up of 27 GB who are responsible for modifying dynamic parameters such as block rewards and transaction fees on the LGCY network. GB is entitled to initiate and vote for proposals. A proposal is adopted as long as it is voted for by at least 15 GBs. The adopted proposal will apply its changes to network parameters in the next maintenance period.

We have liaised with Senior Members of our Developer Community through the testing phase to ensure that the final protocol delivers a superior experience to all the players (users and developers) that will be harnessing the power of the LGCY Network ecosystem over the coming years.

Mainnet Deliverables

Based on the successful testing sequence we anticipate that the Supernova Blockchain will be opened to the public in at the end of October, or start November.

The rigorous stress testing that our development team are leading now is a critical imperative of guaranteeing that our community of developers can build on a safe, fast, scaleable and bug free network.

The build of LGCY Network has been rapid, and our development team is considerably ahead of our original roadmap schedule. Opening the mainnet to the public will bring the following deliverables:

Decentralized Exchange (DEX): MyriaDex

LGCY’s native DEX. MyriaDex is an automated liquidity provider that’s designed to make it easy to exchange LGCY Network (LRC-20) tokens. There is no orderbook or central facilitator on MyriaDex. Instead, tokens are exchanged through liquidity pools that are defined by smart contracts.

LGCY Wallets

LGCY Network will have its own native wallet that can be linked with the explorer. Besides our own native wallet, we are currently already working with third parties to have LGCY’s blockchain implemented. For most popular wallets this will be easy to implement, as LGCY is EVM-compatible.

LGCY Explorer Update

The current LGCY Explorer (lgcyscan.network) is still a work in progress. We are working on the front-end to fix the UX/UI to make it more appealing and easily accessible.

We are proud of how far we have come and continue to grow, build, and learn every day. We will not compromise on the quality of the final MainNet that is delivered to our community and we thank everyone for their continued support as we approach this critical and exciting juncture for the LGCY Network project.

Stay up to date. Exciting times are ahead.
